The Wind for Prosperity Kenya project is a wind diesel hybrid project is focused on a number isolated power grids (not connected to the main power grid) in rural Kenya. The project will harness the wind resources at the various sites in order to reduce the reliance on fossil fuel in the isolated grids. The projects will operate as an IPP selling power to the KPLC operated isolated grids. The project is in mid-stage development.

Frontier Involvement

DI Frontier Market Energy & Carbon Fund, is a majority shareholder in the project company, Wind for Prosperity Kenya Ltd., with a view to finalize project development and provide equity for the construction of the project.
